Math 8 - Course 3
Monday through Friday
10:17am - 11:10am
Saxon Math Course 3 for 8th grade - The series focuses on building mathematical problem solving skills as well as students' algebraic thinking at a continually higher level than Courses 2 or 1. Saxon Math embeds algebraic thinking throughout the curriculum. It's distributed throughout the lessons in increments; continuing to build as the year progresses rather than treating it as a separate topic of math.
Parents should expect their children to have 3 or 4 math assignments per week and to be tested after every five lessons. Students are tested on the lessons previous to the most recent five lessons so they have had plenty of practice with the concepts before being tested.
Parents should expect their child to bring math tests to them for a parent signature. Parent signatures are worth extra credit to your child!
